Measures stress-related work behavior.
The test identifies risks to health at an early stage. It is used in the design and planning of person-related and condition-related preventive measures (especially with regard to burnout).
The test is used mainly in staff & management assessments, work and organizational design, occupational rehabilitation and counseling in the fields of health psychology and clinical psychology.
Administration
Using a five-point answer scale respondents rate the extent to which various statements about situations or attitudes apply to them. Answers can be corrected once.

Scoring
The following main variables are scored:
- Subjective importance of work in personal life.
- Work-related ambition
- Willingness to work until exhausted
- Striving for perfection
- Distancing ability (ability to recuperate mentally from work)
- Tendency to resignation in the face of failure
- Proactive problem-solving (active and optimistic attitude).
- Inner calm and balance (experience of emotional stability).
- Experience of success at work (satisfaction).
- Satisfaction with life
- Experience of social support

In addition the individual scales are correlated with each other and an assessment of behavior from the point of view of health is provided. This enables the respondent to be assigned with a certain probability to one of a number of types: There are four different profiles:
- Pattern G – high (but not excessive) engagement with work, marked resilience to stress, positive attitude to life (“emotional health”)
- Pattern S – marked preference for taking things easy (or protecting oneself) vis-à-vis the demands of work (“relative satisfaction”).
- Risk Pattern A – excessive engagement with work (driving oneself too hard) combined with somewhat restricted feeling of life and reduced resilience to stress.
- Risk Pattern B – predominant experience of exhaustion, resignation and being overchallenged,
